The Geneva Bike & Pedestrian Committee is inviting residents to participate in a community bike ride to attend the Concert In The Park event. This event will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at River Park, located at 151 N. River Lane.

A “bike bus” is described as a fun and organized group ride designed to make cycling to the event easy and safe for people of all ages. Residents of Geneva have the option to choose from three different routes. Each route will depart at 6:30 p.m., with an expected arrival time at River Park by 6:45 p.m.

The Williamsburg Route will begin at Williamsburg Elementary School, with pickups scheduled at Geneva High School and Wheeler Park/West Side Cemetery. The Western Avenue Route will start from Western Avenue School, with stops at Dryden Park’s softball field and the Geneva Public Library. Lastly, the East Side Route will depart from Moore Park, with a pickup at Bennett Park.

The Geneva Park District has announced that bike racks will be available along the south side of River Park for this event. Bicyclists are encouraged to use these racks to maximize space for concert attendees.

Bike bus leaders will guide participants only to the event; riders can return home on their own schedule. It is recommended that participants bring bike lights, locks, and helmets for safety.

For more details about the Concerts In The Park series, residents can visit the Geneva Park District website.
