Geneva officials announced on March 25 that City offices will be closed on Friday, April 3, in observance of a spring holiday. Normal business operations are scheduled to resume on Monday, April 6.

The closure is intended to mark the annual spring holiday and provide staff with time off. Residents are advised that essential services will continue as planned during this period.

City representatives said the closure will not affect garbage pickup, which will remain on its regular Thursday-Friday schedule for the week of March 30. Additionally, yard waste bags placed out with garbage starting April 1 must have a Geneva waste sticker attached for disposal.

The City’s monthly brush collection is set to begin in Zone 1 during the week of April 6 and in Zone 2 the following week, beginning April 13. More information about Geneva’s refuse services can be found by visiting the City’s website.

Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and contact city officials or visit online resources if they have questions about municipal services during this period.
