Emma Payton, a former Burlington Central High School standout, contributed to a dominant performance as her collegiate team, the Trine Thunder, secured a 90-45 win over the Shenandoah Hornets in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 6.
The contest was held at Livingston Gymnasium at 5 p.m. and marked the team’s opening game in the tournament against the Shenandoah Hornets.
Trine Thunder will continue tournament play on Saturday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. at Livingston Gymnasium.
