Batavia has announced the launch of its GREEN Energy Audit & Rebate Program, aimed at helping residents manage their energy consumption. The program will offer free professional energy audits to 25 households, which include infrared scans, blower door testing, and tailored recommendations for improving home comfort and reducing utility expenses.

Participants in the program may receive up to $3,000 in grant funding to carry out suggested upgrades. The initiative is financed by the city’s single-use bag fee and aligns with Batavia’s sustainability objectives. Interested residents must apply by July 16, 2025, as availability is limited. Applications can be submitted at bataviail.gov/energyaudit, with further information available at bataviail.gov/byob.
