Central Community Unit School District 301, which serves Kane and DeKalb counties in Illinois, recently shared updates on its official Twitter account about community engagement, school closures, and a student blood drive.

On February 15, the district encouraged alumni to share their experiences by posting: ” Your Story Matters Every alumni journey helps tell the story of Central 301. The following day, on February 16, the district announced a school closure in observance of Presidents’ Day with the message: “NO SCHOOL TODAY in observance of Presidents’ Day #WeAreCentral https://t.co/PTcXhbnnRp”.

A post from February 17 reminded students and families about an upcoming blood drive at Central High School (CHS): ” Blood Drive This Week at CHS A reminder that the CHS Blood Drive is happening Thursday morning. Donating blood supports lifesaving care and helps Central seniors earn scholarship opportunities. Appointments are encouraged. #WeAreCentral https://t.co/9au1IbIG4t”.

Central Community Unit School District 301 includes several schools such as Central High School, Central Middle School, Country Trails Elementary School, Howard B. Thomas Grade School, Lily Lake Grade School, Prairie Knolls Middle School, and Prairie View Grade School (source).
