Former South Elgin High School standout Caroline Croft and her collegiate team, the Hardin–Simmons Cowgirls, were defeated 103-61 by the NYU Violets on Friday, March 13, in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The game, held at John A. Paulson Center at 6:30 p.m., marked the Cowgirls’ first matchup against NYU in the tournament.
