City of Aurora Finance Committee met Jan. 11.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

CALL TO ORDER 

Chairman Franco called the meeting to order at 3:01pm.  

A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid and seconded by Alderman Woerman to allow Alderman Bugg to participate in this meeting remotely. The motion carried by voice vote and Alderman Bugg participated in this meeting remotely. 

ROLL CALL 

Present: 5 - Chairperson Carl Franco, Vice Chair Edward Bugg, Alderwoman Shweta  Baid, Alderman Ron Woerman and Alderman Brandon Tolliver 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES 

23-1050 Approval of the minutes from the Finance Committee meeting held on December 21, 2023. 

A motion was made by Alderman Woerman, seconded by Alderwoman Baid, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT 

AGENDA 

23-0978 A Resolution authorizing the mayor to execute the Local Public Agency Amendment for federal participation with the State of Illinois in an amount not to exceed $228,109.00 and Phase 2 Supplemental Engineering Services Agreement with HR Green, Inc. and the City Clerk to sign the appropriation of REBUILD Illinois Bond Funds for Montgomery Road and Hill Avenue Intersection Improvements, MFT #19-00329-00-CH in an amount of $228,109. 

A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Alderman Woerman, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried.

24-0009 A Resolution approving the Fifth Amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Aurora, the City of Naperville, and the Naperville Township Road District to widen North Aurora Road in the vicinity of the CN Railway Crossing and to appropriate $3,136,378.00 of MFT Funds for the project.  

A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Alderman Woerman, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried.

23-1045 A Resolution to accept a contract with Jen Lewin Studio LLC to lease the  artwork "The Pool" for Aurora's October 2024 Public Art Light Festival. 

A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Alderman Woerman, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried.

A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Alderman Tolliver, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried. Chairman Franco adjourned the meeting at 3:20pm.
