Analysis: Burlington pays $5.31 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Burlington Community FPD Firefighters' Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.4 percent of the $82,458 the Burlington Community FPD Firefighters' Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.31 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Burlington contributed $68,739 to the fund, which saw a $12,825 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $12,923, or 15.7 percent, in 2018. Another $796 came from other unspecified sources.
