Aurora Township responded to 47 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the Kane County Reporter.
The calls in Aurora included 23 fires - eight structure fires, two vehicle fires and 12 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $53,500 in fire loss - or about $2,326 per fire.
The department also received 24 false calls.
