The price of local government: Village of West Dundee

The Village of West Dundee budget was $17.01 million for its 2015 fiscal year, or $9,555.31 per household.

That's a decrease of 16.7 percent from 2014, when the village spent $20.42 million, or $11,470.07 per household.

West Dundee has 1,780 households and a population of 7,331.

Since 2001, the Village of West Dundee budget has grown by 34.1 percent, from $12.68 million. The village population has grown 35.1 percent over the same period, from 5,428.
