North Aurora Plan Commission to hold public hearing on reducing parking requirements for food stores

North Aurora Plan Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3.

The North Aurora Plan Commission reviews all applications for planned unit development; zoning applications; site plan reviews; and special use applications. Further, the Plan Commission reviews submitted applications and makes recommendations to the Village Board.

The Plan Commission reviews the effectiveness of the Zoning Ordinance and periodically reports recommendations for updates of the zoning ordinance to the Village Board. The Plan Commission is also responsible to assist in the development, review and amendment of the Comprehensive Plan as requested by the Village Board.

1. Approval of Plan Commission Minutes dated December 6, 2016.

PUBLIC HEARING

1. Petition #17-01: The Village of North Aurora requests a Zoning Ordinance text amendment to reduce the parking requirement for Food Stores, Grocery Stores, Butcher Shops, and Fish Markets from five (5) parking spaces per 1,000 square feet gross floor area to four (4) parking spaces per 1,000 square feet gross floor area.

1.
