At a recent meeting, the Batavia Board of Fire & Police Commissioners interviewed police officer candidates.
The board includes three members who are appointed by the mayor for voluntary three-year terms. The board appoints all of the city’s fire and police officers.

SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the City of Batavia will hold a special meeting beginning at the hour of 5:00 p.m. in the Batavia Police Department Conference Room, 100 North Island Avenue, Batavia, Illinois, on the 20th Day of June, 2016. The sole purpose of this meeting is to interview potential police officer candidates.
